CENOS presents: MHD Modelling School 2019
October 14-18, 2019
MHD Modelling School is a 5-days intensive course that brings together professional lecturers, PhD students and open-source simulation software users from the fields of applied magnetohydrodynamics (MHD) and induction heating of metals. It is an intensive hands-on course with the focus on contemporary tools of modelling of the processes. The course also covers experimental verification technique.
Hands-on classes showcase open-source simulation software Elmer, GetDP, Open FOAM, EOF Library as well as handy technique for pre- and post-processing. Students get tutorials and supporting materials for simulation exercises.

CENOS LLC introduced an updated version of its CENOS Platform induction heating simulation software program. Version 2.0 contains a fully automated CAD framework that lets engineers process CAD files for a workpiece, coil, and flux concentrators with ease, and to obtain simulated heating results visualized in 3D to inform and test design decisions.

CENOS platform was recently launched to enable computer-aided engineering for smaller companies focused on induction heating and hardening technologies. While traditional simulation software is tailored for large companies with excessive functionality and high price, the CENOS desktop software starts from € 500 per month, and its user-friendly interface enables engineers with no previous simulation experience to design an induction coil in less than an hour.
