Sales / Business Development manager

CENOS is a deep-tech software startup with growing revenue from customers in Europe (Germany, Italy, Poland, and others) and overseas (USA, Canada, Mexico, Brazil). Since the product launch in 2017, the sales have been led by the company’s CEO and co-founder Mihails Scepanskis, while inbound acquisition has been managed by ex- AirDog and CatchBox marketer Martins Vilums. Now, the company is accepted in one of the World’s top accelerators - "500 Startups" in San Francisco. Therefore, since the CEO has to move his focus on fundraising and team management, we are looking for a salesperson to take over the major part of sales and business development.

CENOS is seeking a driven, energetic and entrepreneurial salesperson to join its team in Riga, Latvia. Our customers range from small workshops to large enterprises and research centers. As part of our team, you will work mostly with inbound leads and do a new customer prospecting, using your interpersonal skills to help our potential customers understand how our product can address their needs and convert to happy paying customers. This position calls for a unique combination of business, sales and communication skills, any science/engineering background will be an advantage.

 

This is a small-office environment in a rapidly growing, diverse company. As such, you will be entrusted with a broad range of responsibilities, allowing for personal and professional growth – both in sales, business development and also acquiring some engineering/technical sales skills. In addition to sales, this position offers an excellent opportunity exposing you to many of the latest developments in R&D and engineering.

Primary responsibilities

  • Expand sales of CENOS Platform software to engineers, managers, scientists

  • Develop new and existing leads through emails, phone calls and presentations

  • Research market, identify, nurture and develop potential sales accounts 

  • Convert inbound leads to paying customers

  • Create and present use cases to excite prospects and demonstrate our products

  • Prepare proposals for the customers

  • Occasionally provide some pre- and post-sales technical support directly and through CENOS support team

  • Automate lead development processes

  • Present CENOS's capabilities and its use at public seminars, trade shows, customer-site presentations, and professional conferences

  • Some travel required (~5%)
     

Requirements

  • Fully proficient English language

  • Proven experience of identifying and selling to new international customers

  • Experience with Hubspot or other CRM

  • Positive and outgoing personality. Business acumen

  • Excellent communication skills, in person, on the phone, and in writing. 

  • Previous technical sales experience is preferable, but not required

  • Science/engineering background is preferable, but not required

  • Analytical mindset

  • Eligibility to work in the EU and travel to U.S.
